“My daughter left home without informing anyone, and got married. She was later found murdered in a suitcase” – father cries

Esther Wambui, the 18-year-old woman who was brutally murdered in Ruiru and her body was dumped outside Recce Squad camp, was a school dropout.

According to her father, Mzee Samuel Mbugua, she left home without informing anyone after dropping out of school and traveled to Nairobi, where she married.

He later received a call from her 23-year-old husband informing him that he and Wambui had married.

“I told him they had my blessing, and I had no objections to their decision,” he explained.

Wambui had only been married for seven months.

Her husband is the prime suspect in the brutal murder after giving conflicting accounts when questioned by detectives.
