“My daughter recently returned from Youth Service and informed me that she would be studying abroad for her Master’s degree. In fact, she had already accepted a university offer and had gone to her interview before she told me. She knew I wanted her close by, but she wanted to travel the world.
It was a difficult decision to make, but I had no choice but to let her go. I’m thankful to God that I did. It brings me great joy to see the woman she has become and her confidence.
She is not in my shadow; she is a woman in her own right. So, on this International Women’s Day, keep in mind that it all starts at home for our girls…
