“My daughter got work immediately after Uni in America, she would have been unemployed in Ghana”- Kennedy Agyapong
Kennedy, Honorable Ohene Agyapong, Member of Parliament for Assin Central and the craziest MP in office, has expressed his dissatisfaction with Ghana’s youth unemployment rate.
Observing how the system operates in the United States vs Ghana, he claims, makes him feel very guilty.
Kennedy Agyapong addressed the scourge of youth unemployment in Ghana on his television channel, Net 2 TV.
Due to the fact that new graduates have recently completed their national service and will be joining the unemployed labor force, the issue has resurfaced.
In Ghana, it’s virtually a ritual: a tiny number of those who perform their duties are retained by their employers, a few others are fortunate enough to obtain work, but the rest will be stuck at home with no possibilities.
Many of them would have to wait years to find work – if they are even lucky!
Meanwhile, one of Kennedy Agyapong’s children completed her schooling at an American university and had a job set up for her in a matter of days, according to Kennedy Agyapong.
He says he feels bad about it and hopes Ghanaian officials can find a solution to the problem.
