“My cars are very stronger than Ford, Benz and other cars, you can ask Asantehene” – Sarfo Kantanka Junior Claims
Last week, there was widespread news coverage when the Wanderlusts Ghana team revealed that they had reached out to Kantanka Automobile to sponsor their trip but did not receive a response.
This led some social media users to question whether the Ghana-made vehicles could have successfully completed the journey from Accra to London without any issues.
In response, Safo Kantanka Junior, the CEO of Kantanka Automobile, stated that the vehicles would have easily made the journey, as they have been tested on harsh terrains.
He emphasized that Kantanka cars are reliable and capable of participating in such a trip. Kantanka Junior also mentioned that models of their vehicles have been given to high-level offices in Ghana for evaluation and feedback, which have been overwhelmingly positive.
He further highlighted that their automobiles are used by prestigious individuals, including the president and the Asantehene.
The Kantanka automobiles are used at the presidency, they are used by high-profile personalities like the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei TuTu II. I even gave one of my pickup vehicles to John Dumelo for a month, and none of them have had any complaints about the car.” Kantanka Junior said.
Overall, Kantanka Junior is determined to clear the company’s name from the controversy surrounding the Accra to London road trip.
