Muslim express dissatisfaction with chief imam for donating Ghs 50,000 for a Christian National cathedral in Ghana
Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, Ghana’s national Chief Imam, gave GHc 50,000 for the National Cathedral’s construction.
Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu said his contribution to the National Cathedral’s caretakers today was designed to strengthen the country’s peaceful cohabitation of Christians and Muslims.
Some Muslims are dissatisfied with their leaders’ choice to assist building the National Cathedral, believing it is against Islam’s precepts and that Allah disapproves.
According to a devout Muslim, Ibrahim Abdulai, Muslims are now contributing to the establishment of a place of worship that belongs to non-muslims.
