Asantewaa, a Tiktok star, has expressed her displeasure with other artists’ treatment of her work.
Being a Tiktok celebrity nowadays entails more than just making content. So many ordinary songs have gone viral and become successes because of Tiktok. Asantewaa and her colleagues tiktokers do just that.
However, Asantewaa believes they do not receive enough, if any, appreciation for their efforts. According to her, these efforts are sometimes free.
In an interview with Nana Romeo on Accra 100.5 FM, Asantewaa bemoaned some singers’ ungratefulness in the face of tiktokers support, some of which is unsolicited.
She explained how they work and promote artists on their platforms with their own resources, but they don’t get a pat on the back.
Camidoh, the singer of “Sugarcane,” was singled out by her as being unlike several of his ungrateful colleagues in the music industry.
