“Most Ghanaian nurses have now become slay queens doing Tiktok videos with work hours” – Mr. Speaker
Negligence of duty at various Ghanaian hospitals has been a source of concern for the health sector, but no one appears to be concerned about the appalling situation, despite the fact that its consequences continue to be detrimental.
In response to the unfortunate incident that resulted in the death of a pregnant woman at the Ridge Hospital, the host of Kessben FM’s Maakye, Kwame Appiah Kubi (Mr Speaker), descended heavily on some nurses who are involved in hospital malpractice.
According to Mr. Speaker, the majority of Ghanaian nurses do not even qualify to be nurses but have become nurses today through protocols and other means.
He emphasized that many nurses today do not want to work but apply to nursing training colleges because they are guaranteed permanent jobs.
The rise of smartphones has had its own impact on the nursing profession. More and more nurses can be seen on the social media platform TikTok making videos while at work.
