Beautiful young lady, Mahogany Geter, was born with lymphedema, a chronic condition in which excess fluid builds up in the body’s soft tissues, resulting in swelling in her left thigh.
Shortly after her birth, doctors diagnosed her with a disability.
Despite the fact that there is no cure for the illness, Getter receives physiotherapy and lymphatic drainage massages on a regular basis to help manage the excess fluids in her left leg.
Geter’s leg adds 100 pounds to her total body weight of 300 pounds, but she has vowed never to have it amputated.
After years of being bullied and subjected to ignorant comments as a child, the aspiring model now calmly ignores online trolls and proudly displays her disability through empowering photoshoots on Instagram.
Conversely, she stressed the importance of using her disorder to inspire others to “celebrate their differences,” and she expressed her “proudness” of what her body is capable of.
