Medikal, a Ghanaian rapper known by his stage name Samuel Adu Frimpong, has been detained for displaying a pistol in a video posted on social media.
Medikal was present in the charge office of the Accra Regional Police Command with his wife, Fella Makafui.
He was taken into arrest by the police and is presently being held in jail by the police.
Although Jerry Avenogbor, one of the attorneys that defended Shatta Wale, was spotted in the police station, the nature of his representation in this matter is still unknown.
This comes only a few hours after Shatta Wale, a dancehall musician, and four other individuals were taken into police custody following an alleged gun assault that turned out to be a ruse.
Medikal had arrived at the courthouse to provide his support to Shatta Wale’s legal team earlier today
