Mohbad Was Owing Me 2 Million Naira But I Didn’t Even Know His House – Sam Larry Releases Statement

Sam Larry, a controversial Nigerian music executive linked to the death of late artist, Mohbad, has reportedly claimed that he paid the singer 2 million naira for a performance that never happened. The artist was booked to perform at Larry’s late mother’s funeral, but allegedly failed to show.

This revelation is alleged to be part of a statement written by Larry, who is believed to be in the custody of Nigerian authorities. The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed they have arrested Larry, also known as Balogun Eletu, as part of an ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of Mohbad, whose real name is Ilerioluwa Aloba.

Larry’s statement reportedly reads:

“Two years ago, I gave N2 million to Ileri to perform at my mother’s annual remembrance concert in Ikorodu. The boy never turned up, so I called him to ask why. He then said he was not feeling well, and when I asked for a refund, he said he lost his phone and money recently when the NDLEA raided his place.”

Larry further claims that he learned about Mohbad’s death only through media reports, and he has no knowledge about the musician’s whereabouts or health condition prior to his death. He firmly maintains his innocence, stating that he knows “nothing about how the musician died.”

The investigation into the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death continues.
