Minister for Works and Housing Surprises 8-Year-Old Girl Who Blasted Nana Addo With A Laptop And Money
In a viral video, the Hon Francis Asenso-Boakye, Minister for Works and Housing and Member of Parliament for Bantama, surprised an 8-year-old girl who blasted him and Nana Akufo Addo in a viral video. Adobea, the girl in the video, claimed in the video that the Bantama MP and Nana Addo had forgotten about her after she campaigned for them in 2020.
She claimed that if it had been the NDC and John Mahama, they would have taken care of her education and parents. She went on to say that Nana Addo only knows “fellow Ghanaians.”
A few days after the video went viral, the MP paid a visit to the young girl and her parents in Bantama. On behalf of President Akufo Addo, he gave her a tablet and an undisclosed sum of money.
The housing minister assured the little girl that Nana Addo does care about her education. He explained that Nana Addo was the one who made education free from primary school to senior high school. In addition, he stated that the president is offering scholarships to students who are accepted into universities.
Despite this, the MP advised her to stay out of politics because she is still young. Instead, she should focus on her education in order to take advantage of Nana Addo’s free education policy.
Adobea’s parents apologized to the MP and Nana Addo for any harm caused by the video. According to her father, Mr. Kwabena Addo, the family learned about the video through social media and was unable to intervene. He was grateful, however, to Hon. Asenso Boakye and Nana Addo for not being offended by the video’s content.
Adobea’s mother, for her part, stated that only ungrateful beings claim Nana Addo has done nothing. She stated that the massive projects taking place across the country are proof that the NPP government is doing well.
