Mass Burial of the kids who drowned at Apam Beach to be held today.

Thirteen teenagers who drowned while swimming in the sea off the coast of Apam in the Central Region will be laid to rest at a joint burial service on Tuesday morning.

On Sunday, March 7, 2021, the deceased aged 12 to 17 lost their lives while swimming, leaving Apam town in a state of shock and mourning.

The ceremony is supposed to follow strict COVID-19 guidelines and will only be open to those who have been invited.

A government delegation is expected in Apam to assist grieving families in burying their children.
President Akufo-Addo has also sent the bereaved families a donation of GHC36,000.

This was achieved when the President, through the Minister of Fisheries, extended condolences to the bereaved families.
