man who went missing on his wedding day found in the forest after his kidnappers left him to die.
Saheed Baruwa, a 30-year-old man who went missing 12 days before his wedding, was reported missing by his family members.
In the early hours of Tuesday, December 7, 2021, Baruwa left his house in Osogbo to go to work in the Gbeja region of the city, but he failed to return.
Family and friends sent messages on social media, pleading for assistance in locating him as his wedding day approached.
He has finally been identified.
He was enticed in by someone who claimed to have
plumbing work for him, according to his acquaintances.
He met them for the task and happily entered their car, not realizing that they were kidnappers until it was too late.
In addition to two other people, he was abducted and then abandoned by his captors in a forest in Ibokun, Osun State, after having paid a ransom for his freedom.
According to reports, the kidnappers forced him to deplete his bank account.
