Man vows to divorce his wife after she sowed a seed of Ghs 79,000 meant for building a house in church.
A Nigerian man in the United States has filed for divorce after his wife used a lump amount of N5 million (GHS79,231) planned to build their first house to plant a church seed.
The astonishing narrative that has been circulating on the internet has sent chills down the spines of many people who have yet to come to grips with the conduct of a Nigerian woman.
The distressed man is said to work as a cleaner in the United States, and after years of hard labor, he wanted a home in his homeland.
But it appears that his better half, who was supposed to support her husband’s long-term goal, has just flushed that dream down the toilet.
She did not invest the funds in project materials, instead giving them all to her pastor as a church offering.
The anecdote was shared online by a tweep named Chinedu Ihekwoaba, who is a close friend of the family.
He wrote: ”My guy working as a cleaner in the US sent 5M to his wife in Nigeria to start a house project. His wife used d money to sow a seed in her church. My guy has filed for a divorce. To me, it was a harsh decision. After all, she gave d money to God.”
