Ebenezer Atta Amoh, a 31-year-old man, died after the building he was sleeping in collapsed on him while he was asleep.
He was sleeping in his room when a portion of the building fell on him, causing severe injuries.
Zakari Mubarak, an assemblyman from the surrounding neighborhood, told Adom News that the victim had been trapped under the concrete for quite some time before being discovered.
He went on to say that the victim’s father, who had initially been rescued, had suddenly gone completely deaf and was unable to reveal that his son was still trapped.
Mr. Amoh, however, was discovered beneath the concrete by one of the rescuers, and the rest of the squad raced to his aid.
Upon being discovered, he was swiftly removed and sent to the Bibiani Government Hospital. Medical personnel, on the other hand, proclaimed him dead as soon as they arrived.
The body has been taken to Bibiani Mortuary in order to conduct further investigations.
According to reports, the victim had been bedridden for some time, and the foundation of the building had weakened as a result of the constant rain.
Meanwhile, Mr. Mubarak has urged locals to prepare for the repair of their homes in order to avoid a tragedy that may arise unexpectedly.
