Man k!lls girlfriend and later k!lled himself after the girl took money from him and wanted to break up (see details)

According to a report that was submitted by ModernGhana, a Ghanaian man by the name of Ernest Kofi Yeboah took his own life not long after he was convicted of murdering his girlfriend, who was identified as Akua Mavis.

On Sunday, July 17, the unfortunate event apparently took place in Sefwi Bosomoiso, which is located in the Western Northern Region.

A local told ModernGhana that Ernest and Mavis were well-known in the community for their romantic relationship. Mavis is said to have approached Yeboah in June of this year, requesting his assistance in the form of financial backing so that she might launch a new venture.

According to the information that has been acquired, Yeboah provided his girlfriend with funds amounting to 115,000 so that she could launch a mobile money company. Almost immediately after she obtained what she desired, she began behaving strangely and demanded that they broke up.

It is said that an irate Ernest Kofi Yeboah, who felt duped and betrayed, requested Mavis to accompany him to a nearby town to visit a friend, and she agreed to do so.

According to the reports, Yeboah brought her to an unfinished structure as they were on their way back to their house at 7:30 p.m. in the evening and murdered her there.

According to a further report from ModernGhana, after killing his girlfriend, Yeboah called his friend on the phone to inform him of the atrocity he had committed and his decision to terminate his own life, which he ultimately accomplished.

The town’s youth discovered their bodies lying next to each other after they had died.
