A 30-year-old husband from Kitwe, Zambia, has filed a lawsuit against his wife for deception.
James Banda is claimed to have married his 29-year-old wife Barbara, who is also a Jehovah’s Witness, in 2013.
According to Mwebantu, the couple began what appeared to be a pleasant marriage adventure that would end abruptly after two years.
The trouble began when Barbara finally got the resolve to tell her husband about her closely held secret.
She revealed that she has three children from previous relationships, not simply the one she had previously stated. “When we were about to marry, she told me she had one child, which I accepted because I had one as well.”
“Two years later, she said she had three children, which surprised me,” an enraged James added.
James told the court that he was disappointed and wanted to end the marriage since it was based on deception. He went on to say that he was not only irritated with his wife and family for lying to him, but that he was also unable to provide for his three children.
