Man cries of been broke after he borrowed Ghc 200,000 for his wedding just to show off.
After holding an extravagant wedding to delight his spouse, a 29-year-old Ghanaian accountant has taken to social media to anonymously reveal his financial troubles.
The man claimed that he and his now-wife used to have a lot of debates over how big their wedding should be.
His wife wanted an expensive dream wedding, while he wanted a small, low-cost wedding.
He makes Ghc2,500 per month and has saved Ghc30,000, according to the weeping. He was expecting a Ghc 75,000 mid-year bonus and planned to take out a Ghc 40,000 advance on his provident fund.
Due to his wife’s constant pressure, he took out a loan to pay for an extravagant wedding that cost Ghc200,000.
Shortly after the wedding, the COVID-19 pandemic struck, and his company lost some key clients, costing him his Ghc75,000 mid-year bonus and provident fund advance.
