A man in Festac town in Lagos state has been picked up by the Police after he reportedly fingered a 5-year-old girl till she started bleeding from her private part.
The arrest came following the intervention of a concerned Twitter user who first shared the news on his handle since the police demanded an amount of money the parents of the girl couldn’t afford.
The Twitter user made it known that while the girl’s mother rushed her to the hospital after the incident, the little girl was still bleeding.
He explained that the poor parents’ effort to seek justice for their 5-year-old girl was proving futile after the police demanded money before they registered the case.
The parents then decided to opt-out to settle the case amicably by taking compensation from the man who defiled their daughter. while they were still negotiating the matter with the culprit, this Twitter got there and called some ‘friendly’ police officers.
The culprit has since been picked up and still in custody at the police station in Festec town waiting to be arraigned for court, according to the Twitter user, @deleconcept.
