According to lawyer Maurice Ampaw, John Mahama’s alcoholism is a serious concern since it makes him irritable and quick to anger, unlike vice president Mahamudu Bawumia who does the reverse.
Speaking on Wontumi TV, the seasoned lawyer claimed that when the moral character of the two men is compared, vice President Bawumia shines out because he avoids engaging in problematic activities.
Lawyer Ampaw asserts that the vice president has performed better than former President Mahama in their interactions with various religious institutions.
“Mahama is quick tempered when he is angry he will insult you but Bawumia is emotionally matured”, he said. He continued that “Mahama has given birth with 5 or 6 women. But Bawumia doesn’t go ‘away’…Bawumia doesn’t drink but Mahama does.”
He said that it would be unwise to support Mr. Mahama since he would only have four years to lead Ghana, as opposed to Bawumia, who could run for eight years and have eight years to improve Ghana.
