Despite being a member of the ruling New Patriotic Party, Empress Gifty has received praise for her heartfelt congratulations to former President John Dramani Mahama and his wife on their 30th wedding anniversary (NPP).
Gifty, who is married to Hopeson Adorye, former Kpong Katamanso NPP MP and current Director of Operations – Educational Enrichment for Young Patriots, Inc., paid tribute to the couple and recalled how they supported her when she lost everything.
Empress Gifty claimed that she refers to them as her parents because they helped her when no one else could.
In her words: “I want to celebrate MY PARENTS, I have my reasons for calling them, MY PARENTS. They stood in the gap for me when I lost everything. First Lady, Lordina Mahama was there for me as a MOTHER and made sure I was okay. Former President @officialjdmahama stood by me as a FATHER.
