Tabs Nims, a Kenyan lady, and her brothers built a three-bedroom house for their mother, who was in poor health.
On Sunday, December 12, Nims took to Facebook to show off their new home, as well as the mud-walled, grass-thatched shack they had previously resided in.
Her parents were fortunate enough to be able to build a two-bedroom mud house for her when she was six years old, according to the woman, but they used iron sheets this time. She told me that they converted their hut into a little kitchen.
She claimed ten years ago that they had been able to transform the two-bedroom mud shack into a semi-permanent residence by their own efforts. Nims and her brother, Njosh Njenga, came from a large family and determined that the two-bedroom house was no longer enough for their needs.
Her mom was becoming old and wanted an updated bathroom, not a latrine, so they decided to build a bigger house. The house contains three bedrooms, a large kitchen, living and dining rooms, two bathrooms, a laundry room, and a two-car garage.
