KUMASI: Two kind drivers return Ghc 200,000 they found to the owner (watch video)

In the Ashanti Region town of Oforikrom, two kind commercial drivers gave back to the rightful owner a massive sum of money they found at a bus station.

One would have anticipated the drivers to rejoice and save the money under the notion that God had miraculously gifted them with it, given the situation of Ghana’s economy at this time.

Yet, the individuals who revered God resisted the impulse to put the money on hold.

Instead, they gave it back to Hello FM, one of the Despite Media radio stations in Kumasi, so that its true owner could be identified.

The bus drivers reported seeing a bag at the bus station sitting next to a heap of trash.

They found the money that would change their lives when they picked up the abandoned bag.

They consulted a trusted policeman after deciding what to do with it, who then sent the funds to the radio station so that a formal statement could be made.

The owner, a male, eventually consulted the radio station with proof to get it after going days without food, spending sleepless nights, and harboring suicidal thoughts.

It turned out that the money did not belong to the suicidal man but to someone else who had given it to him.

Some Ghanaians have praised the drivers for their uncommon act of honesty, arguing that praising and supporting such decent deeds will lead to more of them in our community.

Many other people have stated that, given the difficulty they are experiencing in the nation, they would have spent the money differently.
