On Wednesday, July 26, students of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) participated in the elections to choose their new student leaders for the 2023/2024 academic year.
The announcement of the election results brought both joyous celebrations for the victorious candidates and their supporters, and a time for the defeated aspirants to accept the outcome and congratulate the winners.
However, a video has gone viral on TikTok, capturing the moment when one of the SRC presidential aspirants was overwhelmed with emotion upon realizing his loss.
In the video, surrounded by members of his campaign team, the young man shed tears uncontrollably, reminiscent of a baby’s cry.
His teammates attempted to console him and handed him a tissue to wipe away his tears. The video has garnered significant attention, amassing over 1500 likes and 80 comments at the time of reporting.
