Ghanaian Afrobeat singer Kelvyn Brown, popularly known as Kelvyn Boy, has expressed his disappointment with Yvonne Nelson’s recent book launch, where she revealed the identity of her biological father. In her book titled “I am not Yvonne Nelson,” the actress shared personal details about her life, including her struggles with abortion, finding her father, and being banned by the Ghana Film Producers Association.
During a recent appearance on the United Showbiz program, Kelvyn Boy criticized Yvonne for disowning her father over his treatment, saying it is not the right way to handle the situation. He shared his own experience with his father, who cut off his fingertips for spilling milk, but he did not disown him as his father.
Kelvyn Boy also expressed his disappointment with Yvonne for mentioning her mother in the book, calling it unfair and disgraceful. He was supported by other Ghana Film Producers Association members, including Ola and former Shatta Wale manager BullDog.
In conclusion, while Yvonne Nelson has the right to share her personal story, Kelvyn Boy and others believe that it is important to respect one’s family, especially parents. Disowning a parent over their actions is not the solution and could have long-term consequences.
