It’s been a big deal in Ghana because Shatta Wale, a dancehall artist, said that Jackie Appiah doesn’t know how to play. She doesn’t understand how the entertainment business works.
If Jackie knew about the entertainment industry, she wouldn’t have sent the case to the police or even the court. She should have known better.
Shatta Wale says Jackie Appiah doesn’t know anything about the entertainment business. She should know that it is through beef that they make money, and it is also through beef that we make our song a big hit.
He said Jackie should know that he did a little research to see if Ghanaians still liked him or if his fans were still around. All that he said about Jackie was not true, but it was a way to release a new song.
“All of these things are so interesting for Jackie to look at! There is a lot of what I am doing to you that isn’t really true. Everyone in the entertainment business knows how things work.
This case or issue should not have gone to court. We do beef to raise money. At the same time, we release a new song. The trouble Jackie has put me in now is not good for me”, Shatta Wale cries.
“A lot of people in Ghana know a lot about the entertainment industry, so how much more is Jackie in it? I can say that most of the things celebrities fight about aren’t true, but some are”. He said that with this message, he thinks Jackie will forgive him and let the case go away.
“Every Ghanaian can see how we do our jobs as celebrities. You have made it look like everything I say is true, but it’s not. I think you’ll forgive me and let this matter go”, Shata Wale pleads.
