It’s better to STOP because You don’t have Talent – Kuami Eugene To Underground Artistes Struggling to Shine
Kuami Eugene was asked in an interview to give advice to young musicians like himself who want to break into the mainstream, and his words were unexpected.
Kuami Eugene bluntly stated that an underground musician struggling to break through should abandon music because he may not be talented enough.
Eugene and KiDi, Lynx Entertainment signees, appeared on Citi TV to promote themselves and their upcoming concert at the O2 Indigo in London.
They were asked to give honest advice to struggling underground artists who wanted to make it big like them in the studio.
KiDi stressed the importance of an upcoming artist assembling a team of people who believe in their talent to help them, while Eugene advised them to give up when they have tried everything and still haven’t seen a breakthrough.
KiDi believes that it takes grace to break thru at times, but that a good team supporting your talent is more important than grace to make it as a big musician.
Kuami Eugene emphasized talent and stated that a talent search program such as Hitmaker can teach an underground how to make it big.
He used himself as an example but said that if an underground artist has tried everything and is still not getting results, he should just quit because he was not meant for that profession.
As honest as the award-winning musician was, his words were deemed harsh by social media users because he, too, began as an underground artist before meeting Richie and rising to fame.
