I’m very sorry: Sarkodie begs Nana Addo over ‘Nana m3nfa bronya ho nre akukor’ comment
Michael Owusu Addo, widely known as Sarkodie, a multi-award-winning Ghanaian musician, has clarified his 2020 tweet directed at President Akufo-Addo.
In an exclusive interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM as we monitored, Sarkodie said his tweet requesting the president not to use his Happy Day song for the campaign was a joke.
Sarkodie used the opportunity to ask for forgiveness from President Nana Addo for the tweet.
He further said that the ruling New Patriotic Party had not approached him about writing a campaign song for them.
Sark, despite having a personal relationship with the president, said he had not contacted him or vice versa in a long time.
According to him in the interview, his tweet at the time was not a ruse to get the ruling government to pay him for particular lyrics in the song.
His remarks come after President Nana Addo praised Sarkodie for his Happy Day song in a tweet somewhere in 2020.
