I’m very grateful for what Celestine Donkor’s husband did for me – Piesie Esther

Piesie Esther has given her colleague Celestine Donkor and her husband flowers in appreciation for their ongoing support of her business.

Since reaffirming her place in the music business with her current song, ‘Waye Me Yie,’ Ghanaians and other artists have put their support behind Piesie, which she appreciates.

Her greatest joy, however, comes from Mr. Kofi Donkor, Celestine Donkor’s husband, who pushed for votes for her to win all seven trophies at this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music trophies.

Piesie Esther said on Accra FM with Nana Romeo that she was shocked when she watched the nominations night live footage only to find Mr. Donkor rallying behind her.

Despite the fact that his wife, Celestine, is also a strong candidate for the award, Mr. Donkor threw in the towel and started working for Piesie Esther to win.

“I was yet to arrive at the Charterhouse venue so I was watching live. I saw how Mr. Kofi Donkor was advocating for me. He was so happy for me as though he stands to benefit from my award. He boldly stated that his wife would have to surrender the award to me. I was shocked.

“I knew it was out of the abundant joy in his heart that he proclaimed it publicly. I know a lot of people support me in their hearts and I am grateful, but I am particularly grateful to Mr. Donkor and Celestine because they showed their love publicly,” she said blissfully.
