A video of a Nigerian slay queen screaming after running into a ‘okrika’ store went popular on social media.
The lady appeared stunned and bewildered when she came into the market to confront the salesman in a video she uploaded on Instagram.
She questioned the seller if Nigerians genuinely buy reasonably priced old clothing to wear, and the merchant nodded in agreement.
She added that she never believed individuals could buy garments that had already been worn by someone else, regardless of the personality involved.
“I’m in the market right now, and I can’t believe I’m only now learning that Nigerians can purchase secondhand clothes.” I believe it’s known as okarai-kai. Oh my goodness. I’m completely taken aback. “So people in this nation wear used clothes?” she inquired.
