Kofi Kinaata is a famous Ghanaian musician who has won over 33 awards in less than a decade of his music career. He is the only Ghanaian musician who has won the VGMA Songwriter of the Year award four times. His hit song ‘Effiakuma Love’ has gained him a lot of popularity.
Despite winning multiple awards, Kofi Kinaata is not fed up or tired of winning more awards. In fact, he finds it encouraging and an honor to be adjudged as the winner of a certain award.
He believes that winning an award is like being honored for achieving something worthwhile. Therefore, he does not get tired of being awarded or rewarded for his efforts.
He stated on the show “It is not anything tiring because even if you get tired the fans aren’t tired because to you the artiste you won’t regard it as much but the fans need it for their bragging rights.
“That’s how the fans also continue to get excited when you keep on winning awards and they make a lot of noise when you win,” he said on Property FM in Cape Coast.
“So sometimes winning awards is very important and necessary to the fans and if you don’t need it as the artiste but the fans really want it,” he revealed.
