President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of Nigeria has stated that he ran for president in order to end bad leadership in the country.
Tinubu made this daring comment during an encounter with Nigerians in India on Thursday evening, September 7, at the G-20 Summit.
“We’ve come to show you a new future.” A prosperous, endowed, and densely populated country’s future. Its culture, tradition, and ethnicity are all quite vibrant. That is what will enable our prosperity, if we can harness our diversity to our advantage.
We are not lacking in knowledge. We do not lack human resources. We are simply lacking in management and leadership, and that is why I ran for president—to assist all of us in molding the soul of our country in the proper way,” he said in a statement issued by his media adviser, Ajuri Ngelale.
At a meeting where several Nigerian students studying in India were present, Tinibu made the following statement: “With effort, honesty, determination, and a change of perspective, they may reach the pinnacle of their respective vocations.”
“A good education brought me here, and I am delighted to stand before you as President of Nigeria.” I began small. I worked as a security guard. In school, I was a tutor. I was an excellent student. Because of my degree, I joined Deloitte and received training from one of the biggest accounting firms in the world.
When I first started with them, I asked if they had any branches in Nigeria, and they answered, “We have a lot of clients who will take you if you want to go home.” That’s how I ended up at Exxon Mobil, where I became a highly successful accountant, auditor-general, and treasurer before entering politics with a can-do attitude.
You can do it as well; don’t be discouraged. Nigeria is prepared to accommodate everyone. It makes no difference where you are from in Nigeria.”said the President
