Following Dr. Akufo Dampare’s appearance before the Ad-hoc Committee of Parliament on the leaked recording to remove him from office, a UK lawyer claimed that he is an excellent actor.
Kofi Opare Hagan, Esq., a lawyer, resorted to social media to express his feelings about the procedure.
According to IGP Dampare during a hearing before the Committee, the claims in the leaked recording and subsequent developments have “brought a lot of pain” to his family and loved ones.
The hearing comes after the former Director General (Technical) of the Ghana Police Service, COP Mensah, indicated that the Ghana Police Service’s low morale is due to the majority of staff being unsatisfied with the Inspector General of Police’s management style.
The IGP is said to have given the go-ahead for the tape to be captured and leaked.
However, when Dampare took the floor at the committee meeting on Tuesday, September 1, he stated that the claims were unsubstantiated.
Lawyer Opare says the IGP is a better actor than award-winning actor Van Vicker after watching the IGP’s presentation before the committee.
“The IGP is at least a better actor than Van Vicker,” he said.
