“If you and your partner don’t have money saved in a joint account, don’t marry” – Leila Djansi
Leila Djansi, a Ghanaian filmmaker working in the United States, has offered some advise to single individuals.
The opinionated director encouraged folks planning to marry to have a strong financial backing before they tie the knot.
Leila believes they should not marry or have children unless they have savings, joint accounts, and investments.
She expressed her sadness after seeing so much desperation on social media.
“Please do not get married or have children if you and your intended are not financially situated, with savings, joint accounts, and investments!” she wrote. This morning, I was heartbroken to see so much need on social media!
Men, men, draw your ears: BREAK UP WITH ANY LADY YOU’RE DATING RIGHT NOW WHO NEEDS FUNDING FOR HER BASIC NEEDS AND PHONE BILLS IMMEDIATELY. This is not a woman with whom you can form a marriage partnership. Marry someone who has a similar income to you. A spouse is also referred to as a significant other since she or he will make a major difference.
Stop chasing after your wife’s fragile material and go purchase yourself a great, sturdy blanket.
If you want to get married and start a family,
Please, please, PLAN and include any eventualities cos shit happens. Give those kids the comfortable life you either had or did desired. Pay it forward. I don’t care how much God is in control. God ALLOWS shit to happen, so you better be prepared like the ten wise virgins!” she wrote
