“I wore torn trousers to fix the country Demo to show how hard the system is in Ghana”- Okatakyie Afrifa

Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah, one of the leaders of the recent Fix The Country protest, has revealed why he wore a ripped pant during the well-attended youth rally.

He has stated that he is broke and suffering like the Agbogbloshie market ladies, and that he is unable to purchase a new one.

He slammed UTV for concentrating on his damaged trousers instead of the rally, since they refused to speak about anything but what he wore to the demonstration.

In a video that has gone viral, the famous TV journalist stated that he donned a ripped pair of trousers to symbolize the hardships that Ghanaians are going through under the current Akufo-Addo administration.

He went on to say that the country has been dealing with inept leadership for years, and that they continue to deceive Ghanaians, but that this time they are demanding selfless and genuine leadership, rather than pointless radio commentary.

He, on the other hand, chastised the administration for portraying the nation as developing when the reality is quite the contrary, and urged the media to focus on Ghanaians’ concerns as they want progress.
