“I will start eating bread with Okro, butter is now Ghc 9”- Nana Aba

To save money, Nana Aba Anamoah says she’ll start serving bread alongside her okro stew instead of margarine.

Anamoah vented her frustrations on Twitter after the GHC 9 price tag was placed on the little margarine.

This is a product that was retailing for roughly Ghc 3 at the beginning of the year, but the never-ending depreciation of the cedi and soaring inflation have led to absurd rises in the pricing of every goods in Ghana, including the relatively small margarine.

Anamoah says that since she found out how much margarine costs, she is looking for other ways to spice up her breakfast.

She wrote on Twitter: “Margarine small size. 9 cedis 🤣🤣 I’ll add okro stew to the bread,”
