I will never advise or allow my daughter to marry a teacher in Ghana – Nana Yaa Brefo
Education is one of the world’s fundamental pillars. The ability to stand in front of students and teach to their level of understanding is a critical component of education that not all teachers possess.
This morning on Anopa Bofo, when the issue of a teacher mending a school roofing sheet in Abitifi North was discussed, Nana Yaa Brefo boldly declared her position in relation to her daughters marrying teachers in Ghana.
Structures or infrastructures in some Ghanaian schools are not conducive to teaching and learning activities. There are other important issues that must be addressed in the education sector.
According to Nana Yaa Brefo, teachers’ living conditions in this country are deplorable. Some of them even have difficulty eating three meals a day. As a result, she will not allow any of her daughters to marry a Ghanaian teacher.
“I will not allow any of my daughters to marry a Ghanaian teacher. Even a distant relative who isn’t my daughter. In this country, teachers are subjected to far too many hardships.”
