“I will gladly give my 6 month salary to build a factory, but won’t donate a pesewa to National cathedral”- Vim lady

Afia Pokuaa, aka Vim Lady, a famous TV and radio personality, has announced that she would donate six months of her income to help construct a factory.

A few days ago, the government, led by President Nana Addo, created a platform for all Ghanaians to donate to help construct the National Cathedral.

The Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta, is asking Ghanaians to donate GH100 each a month to help construct the planned National Cathedral.

The goal of the fund-raiser, he said during his Mid-Year Budget Review speech, is to attract about a million Ghanaians to contribute to the building.

The government is required to construct schools, hospitals, homes, and other facilities for its citizens.

In response to this, Afia Pokuaa posted on her Facebook page that she was ready to donate six months of her income to the government to construct a factory instead of the previously planned national cathedral.

A factory for job creation, VALCO, or a revamped Juapong Textiles are all worthy causes for which she is ready to give six months of her income.
