Popular Ghanaian actor, Adjetey Annan, has disclosed that in his early career, he played a homosexual part.
Speaking on Joy FM’s Showbiz A-Z, “Pusher” as he is affectionately called, said that he did not reject a homosexual part in the film “Run for Your Wife.”
“This is a story that has gone through the stages of development. This is a film that someone felt would be a good topic for the day, so why not simply put it on the market and see what happens?
So it was a two-fold situation: on the one hand, someone was taking advantage of a situation to make money, and on the other hand, it was well-structured, ” he explained.
Meanwhile, the actor admitted that he had previously turned down a position in a homosexual film.
His reasoning was that the claimed part had no purpose other than to stir up controversy and draw attention to himself, something he was not prepared to manage as a young actor.
Adjetey Annan’s disclosure comes in the wake of a contentious anti-LGBTQ measure that has sparked nationwide discussion.
