Angela Bamford, a Ghanaian media personality turned actress, has revealed that she was not embarrassed when given a kissing role.
The former TV host, who is now an actress, has pledged never to take on any kissing roles or be naked in any film for whatever amount of money. She revealed this when expressing her apprehension over kissing actors James Gardiner and Anthony Woode.
Angela Bamford revealed in an interview with Nana Romeo on Accra 100.5 FM that she has established limitations for herself in the acting world. “I’m not going to kiss anyone, and I’m not going to be naked in movies,” she said in response to the movie roles she will not accept.
Kissing scenes in movies today, according to Angela, are genuine, as opposed to the past, when they were staged.
“I don’t consider myself an actress.” I constantly say that I feel strange when I’m given that label, and I still don’t consider myself an actress… This is my second film, the first with Abdul Salam Mumuni and the second with YN Production, so I still don’t call myself an actress, I’m not an actor yet, I’m testing the waters and slowly sinking my feet,” she added.
Angela Bamford appeared in Yvonne Nelson’s yet-to-be-released film The men we love. She took on the character of Michelle, a journalist.
James Gardiner, veteran actress Eunice Banini, Regina Van-Helvert, Yvonne Nelson, Madjid Michell, and many others appeared in the film The Men We Love.
