“I was loud because i didn’t know anything, now i am calm and collected”- Efia Odo

When Efia Odo passionately protested the government’s proposal to require all citizens who wished to travel out of Ghana in December 2021 to get vaccinated, she said she didn’t know any better.

At the Kotoka International Airport (KIA), the Ghana Health Service (GHS) had implemented new COVID-19 regulations that required everyone who wanted to fly out of the country to get the vaccine.

Answering one of her numerous followers on Twitter, who asked if she still believed “COVID-19 was caused by 5G”, the actress and socialite replied, “I was ignorant and loud now I’m educated and calm.”

Previously, she was convinced that the government’s edict would prevent people from making their own decisions about the COVID-19 epidemic.

As a result, she didn’t hold back in expressing her dissatisfaction, taking to Twitter to convey her thoughts on the forced COVID-19 immunization.

Efia couldn’t understand why Malaria kills more people than COVID-19, but people are now required to take COVID immunizations.

She wrote on Twitter,

Malaria has killed more people than COVID-19 (approximately 20,000 people yearly), but they’re mandating us to take a vaccine. Taking a vaccine should be a personal choice, not a mandatory decision. Guess I’m stuck in Ghana cuz (because) I’m not taking any disapproved vaccines.

Many airports across the world had implemented an obligatory COVID-19 vaccine policy at the time she made her remarks, in order to help minimize the potential increase in infections that the holiday season could bring.

The fact that a new variation, the omicron variant, has led many countries to resume tight COVID policies to regulate and ameliorate the virus’s ravaging effects further added to their concern.
