Joyce Boakye, a Ghanaian actress residing in Kumasi, has opened up about how she met her 65-year-old ex-husband and why she chose to marry him.
On the Delay Show, the actress was in a tell-all mode, and she described where, when, and how she met her ex-husband.
Joyce Boakye revealed that she met her 65-year-old spouse when she was only 18 years old, and she never saw their age difference as a barrier.
Joyce Boakye admitted to Delay that her spouse was divorced and had two children, but she didn’t mind.
The actress revealed that she met her spouse, a medical doctor, at Okomfo Anokye Hospital, where they both worked.
They began as colleagues, with Joyce assisting the man in the supply and advertising of his medicine, she explained.
They worked for two years, and the actress saw that the man, despite his wealth, was miserable and lonely, so she chose to be with him permanently.
Joyce Boakye claimed they married and had a nine-year love affair, blaming herself for the breakup.
The problem that led to the divorce was Joyce Boakye’s immature desire to become famous in the country.
Joyce claimed that her spouse was extremely supportive and invested heavily in her acting career, but she desired more.
She recommended that they execute a publicity stunt to promote her films, but the stunt failed, causing her marriage to fall apart.
