A Ugandan mother who gave birth to 44 children 15 times has unofficially written her name into the record books.
She claims that she will keep giving birth since it is her unique talent and given from God.
Mariam Nabatanzi, also known as Mother Uganda or Mother Africa, is only 41 years old, which means that if she doesn’t take any medical action to stop it, she could still become pregnant.
After being sold to her parents by a 57-year-old man, she became pregnant with her first kid at the age of just 13 years old.
“I had 15 pregnancies. Five times, I gave birth to five quadruplets.
It would have been six times for twins, but one set of them died, so it is now five times as well” she said.
She declared that she wouldn’t rule out having more kids if she meets a new husband. “I would be happy to have more children if I had the chance to meet a wonderful man since having children is not bad. She said, “Having children is a blessing from God.”- she added
Mariam claimed she had no idea what life had in store for her as she grew up, but one thing she was certain of was her desire to have many children. I only wanted to have seven children,” she said.
She declared her desire for five children, giving two of them her late brothers’ names and the other two her husband’s. Nabatanzi said, “God made it happen, and in just two times, I had already had seven children.”
She sought medical attention to have her womb closed and even used contraceptives to avoid getting pregnant, but in vain. Therefore, Mariam concluded, “I will have more children if I have an understanding man.
