“I stood there and watched my father burn to ashes”- A little boy who has been traumatized by an accident in Akomadan weeps
As he stood on the premises of the Akomadan government hospital, the young child appeared forlorn. He has become confused and has no idea how to get back on his feet again. His father was among the twenty-two people who died as a result of the fatal Akomadan Accident, but he was among the twenty-two who survived.
When his father informed him that they would be traveling to Kumasi, he and his father gathered their belongings and boarded the bus.
The voyage began on a positive one, but as they progressed, sadness, loss, and tears accompanied them along the route. After getting into the car with his father, he and the young child were having a fantastic time until the sad event occurred.
The bus abruptly crashed and caught fire, and it was a matter of life and death for everyone on board.
Despite his young age, the youngster was able to flee the fire, but his father was unable to do so due to the fire’s intensity.
In the bus, he was trapped with five other passengers, all of whom were killed or injured by the fire. While his father bled to death in front of him, the young child stood by.
If he had the ability, he would have done everything he could to save his father, but there was nothing he could do at the time. He has been left traumatized and unsure of what to do next.
The tragic element is that all of the bodies have been reduced to ashes, making it difficult to determine which of the bodies is that of his father. He has suffered minor injuries to his hands, but his primary concern is the manner in which he lost his father.
The other aspect of the problem is that the small boy does not know where he is going because his father has been guiding him around.
This can be a very sad scenario for anyone to find themselves in. He is a young boy, and the trauma he has experienced will stay with him for a long time.
The police must refer him to a physiologist who can assist him in overcoming his trauma.
He needs to be reunited with the rest of his family as soon as possible since they will at the very least provide him with hope and help to minimize the level of trauma that has been left within him.
