“I sold Gari to survive”- nana Ama Mcbrown

Empress Nana Ama McBrown, a Ghanaian multi-talented entertainer and film diva, recently confessed that contrary to popular belief, she did not come from an ostentatious household while growing up.

Nana Ama McBrown detailed, during an exclusive interview on Pure Drive FM, how she was forced to sell gari in order to keep herself alive when starvation came dangerously close to taking her life.

According to Nana Ama Mcbrown, at one point in her life, she did not have any money and she did not have a job, therefore the only way for her to survive was to sell gari so that she could make enough money to eat.

The showbiz empress proceeded by stating that she is not a “trust fund baby” as was assumed, and that she had to work very hard to get all of the flashy stuff and expensive properties that are associated with her name.

In addition to the fact that she used to sell gari, Nana Ama McBrown revealed that, before she became the movie star that we all know and love now, she used to sell second-hand clothing, spare parts, and other food things.

Nana Ama McBrown is one of the most well-known and accomplished Ghanaian actresses that has ever worked in the film industry.
