Bernard Antwi- Boasiako alias Wontumi, the re-elected Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has revealed why he sat on a stone during the Regional election at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Chairman Wontumi claims he sat on the stone for a miracle.
When he sat on the stone, he told Wontumi TV’s Privilege Morning Show that some people felt he had lost the election.
He was eager to tell Oheneba Nana Asiedu, however, that he was inspired by Jacob’s usage of a stone as a pillow.
Chairman Wontumi explained that he could not use the stone as a pillow, so he sat on it instead.
He cried as he described how security and the Electoral Commission (EC) had failed him and turned against him.
He indicated that political external pressures were to blame for the EC’s and security’s demise.
Chairman Wontumi also expressed his dissatisfaction with the fact that his directions as the current Chairman were not followed.
He stated that what occurred during the election was quite distressing.
