Gladys Mensah Boadu, also known as Nayas, a Ghanaian actress, has confessed that she regrets marrying her ex-German spouse but had to endure for the fear of what people might say.
In an interview with Neat FM, she revealed that her ex-husband instilled dread in her and prevented her from communicating with certain individuals, including her family, throughout their marriage.
She went on to state that despite her marriage’s problems, she was determined to remain because of what Ghanaians would think and say if she left.
“Yeah, he told me because of Ernest Opoku’s issues nobody likes me. So, there was (some kind of fear in me). I regretted marrying him but I had already gone into the marriage. And for marriage is a long term something.
“So, I was facing a lot but because of what Ghanaians will say that Nayas has gone into marriage and there are issues…yeah, I was very afraid of what Ghanaians will say because I didn’t want my marriage issues to come out,” she said.
Nayas claimed that she hurried into her marriage with her husband since they had hardly met before the latter went to Ghana from Germany to propose to her.
