“I love you mom and dad, We are under a heavy attack, ” – Ukrainian soldier cries out in a viral video
A viral video of a crying Ukrainian soldier depicts the scope of Russia’s attack on Ukraine.
On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a large-scale invasion of Ukraine, signaling a significant escalation in the ongoing Russo-Ukrainian War.
The campaign was preceded by Russia’s long-term military buildup, which began in early 2021, as well as Russian demands that Ukraine should be legally barred from joining NATO.
The soldier in the video cried out for his safety and sent what appeared to be his final words to his family.
With the airstrip encroaching on some major cities in Ukraine, the local soldier felt his life was in danger because he was unable to fight the Russian invasion.
