“I learnt a great lesson from the death of my pregnant wife” – Okomfo Kolegae cries

Okomfo Kolegae, a Kumawood actor, confessed in a lengthy eulogy that he is still heartbroken over the death of his wife.

The actor lost his wife and unborn child just one year after their wedding when something went wrong in the delivery room.

In a post on fscebook, he stated that his wife’s death taught him that there is a fine line between life and death, and he now has a larger perspective on the brevity of life.

He went on to say that reflecting on the events that happened three weeks ago has led him to the conclusion that humans take life for granted far too often.

“Her death has made me sit down and reflect. It has made me put things in perspective. I am still in a state of shock,” he lamented.

“The grief and pain can be unbearable; you cry a river, and your sorrow knows no end. It seems like an irreplaceable part of one’s life is gone. You never really know what it’s like until you are there yourself, but you look to God because he is the only one who can comfort you”.

He is having difficulty accepting his wife’s death, especially since he did not get to say his final goodbye, having left her alone in the labor room.

Okomfo Kolegae characterized hid lste wife as his friend, colleague, sister, companion, collaborator, and, most importantly, wife.

Even though they started dating when they were still young and didn’t know much about love and life, Okomfo Kolegae said that his wife has been his rock, especially when it comes to religion.

Part of the tribute read:

“Having you in my life was the best dream come true. Since you have left this world, words cannot describe the emptiness inside me. I get so lost without you, but I am sure you are with the Lord. Since you are with the angels, please I need you as my guide and intercessor in heaven,”

“Millicent, I miss the wonderful plans we made. The memories we shared will never fade. I know that I should not question God, obviously, because He knows and has His reasons, but I can’t help constantly asking myself, ‘Why did you have to die’?
