Ghanaian Taadi based rapper Kofi Kinaata who won three awards out of his four nominations at the just ended VGMA says he believes he is the Artiste of the year even though he didn’t win that category award.
speaking in an interview with DJ Reuben on Luv FM, Kofi Kinaata said;
“I know I’m the Artiste of the Year. It was just on the plaque [for Kuami Eugene] but I knew it’s mine, Kofi Kinaata,”
when asked his expectation during the wards, the ‘Things Fall Apart’ hitmaker said;
“I wanted everything,”
Kofi Kinaata in other to not say he was disappointed for not winning the artiste of the year’s award urged that; “It could have been me too.”
“Looking at the year under review, it was Kofi Kinaata. I know my songs are the best,” he added; “Majority of Ghanaians will say is Kofi Kinaata but aside the judges, anything can happen,”
Kofi Kinaata then told his fans to not be disappointed since its a competition and he will work harder next time to bag all the major awards.
